Watch Flora Day live online!
For the first time in its history, Helston Flora Day will be streamed live on the internet – allowing people all over the world to enjoy the famous annual event, even if they can’t be there in person.
Wendy Radford-Gaby, Managing Director of software development company Negys and a member of Helston Business Improvement Partnership, has bought two special cameras which will be positioned to capture Flora Day preparations in Coinagehall Street on Wednesday 7 May and all the excitement of the day itself on Thursday 8 May.
The technical team at Negys are busily working their technical magic to get these awesome cameras communicating through the interweb so everyone can around the world can watch!
Camera 1 is facing down toward The Monument and Camera 2 is facing up Coinagehall Street. There may even be a ‘Camera 3’ but this one is still under development and being tested so fingers crossed there will be 3 views of this historic occasion.
How can you help? Please share far and wide, with friends and family and keep using #FloraDay14 hashtag where ever you are in the digital world; Facebook, Twitter, Google+, you name it! Share, share, share and share some more. We will make #FloraDay14 trend on May 7th and 8th!
Live streaming is well underway and the Tech Team are really trying to make sure the world can see our special day. There is now a dedicated page set up on the Visit Helston website here http://www.visithelston.com/live-stream/
You can download the LiveStream app on your iPhone/Android for instant viewing while you’re in the town.
